Career History
Kate completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Flinders University. She is also a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia. Before starting Word of Mouth, she worked in both government and non-for-profit roles. Since completing her degree, she has completed the following training courses:
- Sounds-Write Training- the skills, concepts, and code knowledge students need to master in order to become competent readers, writers, and spellers
- Emotional Regulation: Tools and Strategies for PDA Individuals by Kristy Forbes
- Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) workshop – 2 days focused on Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
